Moreover, the use of flash allows for a lower ISO setting on your camera, ensuring clear images devoid of sensor noise.

Studio photography lighting

A single light source can be used for professional photo shoots, creating intriguing effects and a sense of mystery in the images. However, it's more common to use lighting sets with two, three, or even four studio flashes. This setup provides complete control over the lighting, allowing for precise manipulation and the creation of various moods while emphasizing specific elements in the frame. The main light, usually the strongest one, acts as the key light and is often accompanied by fill, background, or effect lighting.

How to choose the perfect studio flash?

When considering buying a flash for your studio, it's important to first determine what power level will be appropriate for your needs - the larger your studio, the more powerful flash you'll require. Quadralite offers units with power ranging from 200 to 1200 Ws, and some of these also support advanced features like TTL mode (automated flash) and HSS (high-speed sync). Each light is equipped with an integrated radio receiver, which allows you to effortlessly control them using a compatible transmitter or trigger from the Navigator X system.

Bowens studio flash – an industry standard

Quadralite studio flashes are designed to be highly versatile and can be used with a wide range of light modifiers that come with a Bowens mount.
